·Taken from the patient’s call
This was my first time visiting that hospital, and honestly, it will probably be my last. The doctor herself was not at fault — she did nothing wrong — but the entire experience with the hospital and insurance process was chaotic. My appointment was around 2:30 or 3:30. The doctor saw me and asked me to do a blood test and an ultrasound, then return to her afterwards. I had already been told by the doctor before the appointment to drink a lot of water for the ultrasound, so I was prepared. When we went to do the ultrasound, the receptionist told us I didn’t have an appointment, even though the doctor said to go directly. We waited about 30–45 minutes, and only then were told we would have to wait another 2.5 hours. That should have been communicated earlier, especially after making us wait so long. At that point, I really needed to use the bathroom because I had already drunk so much water. Fortunately, a very quick, rushed ultrasound was eventually done because my bladder was already full. After that, we went back upstairs to see the doctor for the results. We were sitting right outside her office the whole time, but the nurse never called our name. Later, she claimed she had been looking for us, even though we were right in front of her. She told us there was one patient inside, and after that we would enter in about 10 minutes. We ended up waiting 20–30 more minutes. Then the nurse came out again and said the doctor didn’t need to see us because the results were not ready. This was extremely frustrating because the ultrasound technician told me the results would be ready in about 10 minutes. Maybe it was actually the blood test results that were delayed, but even then, there was no reason for us to wait that long only to be told to leave. The nurse said the doctor would call the next day. It has now been almost a week, and no one has called. Again, I don’t blame the doctor entirely, but the overall communication and organisation were very poor, and it felt like a complete waste of time. My mother already didn’t want to go to Saudi German Hospital because she had heard negative things, but I insisted because my friend recommended this doctor. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the expectations. I also felt like the doctor reached a conclusion very quickly, almost before letting me fully explain my symptoms — like she already had her mind made up. Overall, the hospital experience was chaotic, stressful, and not something I would want to repeat.
