Dr. Kavitha Leela Mony is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her MBBS from the Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, India and her MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the JSS Medical College, Mysore (RGUHS). She holds a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (F.MAS) from the World Laparoscopy Hospital, New Delhi. She is a member of the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons (WALS).
Soon after completing her Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr. Mony started working at a Private Hospital and then joined Azeezia Institute of Medical Science and Research, Kerala, India, as an Assistant Professor and Gynaecologist. She continued to work for a few years in a similar position at the Travancore Medical College, India, before moving to the UAE. Subsequently, she joined NMC Royal Hospital, Dubai, where she worked for almost a decade as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She then did short stints at several hospitals like Swift Day Surgical Center, the Gargash Hospital, Life Medical Center, all in the UAE as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
