• Prof. Ahmed El-Barky is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon with over 25 years of clinical and surgical experience. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Medicine in 1997 and Doctor of Medicine degree in 2005 from the Benha Faculty of Medicine at Benha University, Egypt. In 2006, he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Ophthalmology in Glasgow, UK.
• Prof. Ahmed is also an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Benha University, Egypt, and serves as an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• His expertise includes surgical retina procedures, such as managing complications of diabetic retinopathy and performing complex retinal surgeries for intraocular foreign bodies and trauma. He is also experienced in medical retina management, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal vascular diseases.

  • Designing a new Vitreoretinal instrument “El-Barky Vitreoretinal Chopper” for dropped hard cataract. Manufactured by Geuder Company, Germany .
