• Dr. Chatterjee worked with prestigious hospitals like the Tata Medical Center in Kolkata, India where he established the GI and therapeutic endoscopy services and was also instrumental in the commissioning of the new state-of-the-art endoscopy unit there. He also spent a decade at the Manipal Hospital in Kolkata, India as a Senior Consultant in Gastroenterology.
• In the UAE, he was the Head of the Department of Gastroenterology at Al Zahra Hospital Sharjah, where he was involved in the JCI accreditation of the unit and in establishing therapeutic endoscopy services; particularly ERCP and bariatric endoscopy. He was heading the Gastroenterology Department at the NMC Royal Hospital, Sharjah before joining Medcare.
• His area of expertise covers the entire gamut of advanced therapeutic endoscopy, including ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound, fatty liver disease and other liver problems, heartburn, acidity, dyspepsia and ulcers, colonic polyps and their resection and polypectomy, bowel problems like diarrhoea, constipation and weight loss, unexplained anaemia and GI bleeding.
