Dr. Soumya Sarin is a Specialist Paediatrician in the Department of Paediatrics and Neonatology at Medcare Hospital- Sharjah. She completed her MBBS from the Government Medical College in Pariyaram and a postgraduate Diploma in Child Health (DCH) in Paediatrics from the Government Medical Colleges in Calicut, both in India. She also holds a post-graduate degree in Paediatric Nutrition from Boston University. Dr. Sarin was the national topper and the President's Gold medal winner in Paediatrics in the examination held by the National Board of Examinations, India. She has also obtained a Fellowship in Neonatology from the Indian Academy of Paediatrics and has a certification in Neonatology from the America Academy of Paediatrics (AAP). She is a member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences.
She commenced her career as a Junior Resident in Paediatrics at the Government Medical College in Calicut and then went on to become a Junior Consultant in Paediatrics at NHRM at the District Government Hospital in Peroorkada in India. She worked with many renowned hospitals in the capacity of a Senior Resident in Paediatrics as well as a Neonatologist before joining the CVR Hospital in Mannarkkad as a Medical Director, followed by the position of Senior Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatologist at Avitis Institute of Medical Sciences, Nemmara, both in India. Subsequently, she relocated to the UAE.
