He worked as a Resident in the Department of Medicine of Lok Nayak Hospital and G.B. Pant Hospital, New Delhi. In 2005, he moved to Singapore and completed Internal Medicine training from National University Hospital, Singapore attached to National University of Singapore and passed Membership examination of Royal College of Physicians of The United Kingdom in 2010. Following this, the doctor worked as a Registrar in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Singapore General Hospital (ranked 9th in the global hospital rankings) attached to National University of Singapore and DUKE-NUS Graduate Medical School. He also completed Advanced Specialist Training in Gastroenterology in 2014. He is certified as a Specialist in Gastroenterologist by Specialist Accreditation Board, Ministry of Health, Singapore.
