Dr. Seema Raina, in addition to her routine dentistry related duties, also takes part in the diet counseling, analysis and modifications, if required, in infant feeding habits and oral hygiene measures. Preventive and prophylactic dental treatment, restorative treatment are also areas in which she is actively involved. Pulp therapy in deciduous and young permanent teeth, paediatric oral medicine and surgery, management of gum diseases and diagnosing and intercepting developing malocclusions are other spheres of her professional activities. She is also highly proficient in dental treatment under general anaesthesia and with the use of nitrous oxide.
One of her highly favoured areas of operation is dental treatment for medically compromised, differently abled children. She obtained her BDS and her MDS from Lucknow University, India and has also studied BLS and Airway Management at the International Trauma Care, Hyderabad, India and undertaken a course at the Nitrous Oxide Sedation Workshop, Sri Sai College of Dental Sciences, Vikarabad, India. She has spent many years as a specialist paediatric dentist at the Gokuldham Medical Center, Mumbai, India and has also taught as a lecturer at the Dr D. Y. Patil Dental College, Mumbai, India and the Yerala Dental College, Mumbai, India. She has also held the post of Associate Professor at the Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College, Mumbai, India.
