Dr. Sandeep R Sharma is an Interventional and Medical Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Medcare Hospital, Sharjah. He completed his MBBS at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, and his MD in Internal Medicine at the Mysore Medical College, India. He is also a Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in Gastroenterology from the National Board of Education, New Delhi. He is a lifetime member of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology.
During the initial years of his career, Dr. Sharma was a Senior Resident at the Kasturba Medical College Hospital in Mangalore, India. Later, he worked as a Junior Consultant in Gastroenterology at the Meenakshi Mission Hospital in Madurai, India. He added to his knowledge and skills in his area of specialisation by working as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at renowned institutions like Sparsh Hospitals, Sagar Hospital DSI and Fortis Hospital, all in Bangalore, India. Subsequently, he moved to the UAE to join Aster DM Healthcare Dubai as a Specialist Gastroenterologist.
