He holds several leadership positions, including serving as the AO Spine MENA Educational Officer and board member, a member of the AO Spine Education Commission, and Chair of the e-learning committee at the International Musculoskeletal Society (IMS). He is a sought-after speaker and trainer, traveling globally to lecture and train surgeons on the latest surgical spine techniques.
Dr. Sameh Abolfotouh is the current Chair of the Pan Arab Spine Society (PASS) and a highly accomplished, board-certified consultant Orthopaedics and Spine Surgeon at Medcare Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital in Dubai, UAE. He completed his Orthopaedics residency at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) / Weill Cornell Medical College, Doha, Qatar, and pursued two clinical spine surgery fellowships at the Centre of Spine and Orthopaedics in Denver, CO, and the University of Missouri, USA. Dr. Abolfotouh is a Harvard Medical School alumnus and one of the few surgeons worldwide to graduate from the prestigious Harvard Medical School Surgical Leadership Program (SLP).
