He graduated from Southampton University in 1989 and began his specialist training in ophthalmology in 1992, focusing on retinal disorders.
- Dr. Asaria was awarded the prestigious June Sutor Research Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital in 1997 and completed further medical and surgical training at Moorfields and Bristol Eye Hospitals, where his research earned him a Gold Medal.
