Dr. Pavan Kumar Gorla is a Consultant in Gastrointestinal Surgery at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital & Medcare Hospital in Sharjah. He completed his MBBS at Kurnool Medical College with a Gold medal as best outgoing student of the batch and his MS in general surgery at PGIMER, Chandigarh. Later, he completed his MCH in surgical gastroenterology from KGMU, Lucknow, India and received the prestigious Torrent Young Scholar award (TYSA) in surgical gastroenterology. He received the Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), an international credential for surgical excellence.
Dr. Pavan began his professional journey as a Junior and then Senior Resident doctor in General Surgery at PGIMER in Chandigarh, India. Later, he joined King Georges’s Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow as a Senior Resident in Surgical Gastroenterology. He also worked as a Consultant in GI Surgery at Charak Hospital in Lucknow, India, before relocating to the UAE. In the UAE, he first worked as a Specialist in GI Surgery at Aster Hospital in Mankhool and then as a Consultant in GI Surgery at NMC Royal Hospital in Sharjah.
