Dr. Osama Saeed Abuzaid is a Consultant in General Surgery at the Medcare. He completed his MBBS from the Jordan University of Science and Technology. He then pursued a Higher Specialization in General Surgery from the same University with his training based at King Abdullah University Hospital in Jordan. He holds a certification from the Jordanian Board of General Surgery.
He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS), UK and has Fellowship training in Laparoscopic & Colorectal Surgery from the UK.
Dr. Abuzaid’s two decades of clinical experience across Jordan, the UK and the UAE, shows a deep commitment to teaching and training. He started his medical career in Jordan as an Intern with the Princess Basma Teaching Hospitals followed by a General Surgery Residency at the King Abdullah University Hospital under the Jordan University of Science and Technology. He was a Specialist Registrar in General Surgery and Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery at the Rotherham General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, UK. After this, he was a Specialist Registrar - General and Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery at the Doncaster Royal Infirmary and in a similar role at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He then returned to Jordan to work as a General Laparoscopic and Colorectal surgeon at one of the largest hospitals in Amman, the Islamic Hospital, where he was the Programme Director and Board Examiner for General Surgery training for doctors enrolled with the Jordan Medical Council. Subsequently, he relocated to the UAE as a Consultant Surgeon to work first at the Saudi German Hospital, Dubai and then at the NMC Royal Hospital, Sharjah. He has been a clinical tutor to intern doctors and an adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Sharjah.
