• education — He gained in 2008 a Post Graduate Award (PGA) in Professional skills in Healthcare from the University of Warwick., Dr. Hojaili obtained in 2016 his Certificate of Completion of training (C.C.T.) in General Psychiatry from the General Medical Council (GMC), UK., In 2012 after successfully passing all required examinations and fulfilling all the necessary criteria, he was elected to become a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych)., He completed in 2014 a Post-Graduate Certificate (PGCert) in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from the University of Leicester, UK.
• He takes it at heart to establish an excellent rapport with his patients based on a solid psychoeducation, actively involving them in the decision making of their management and treatment and regularly communicating/collaborating with other specialities involved in the care of the patient for the best outcome possible.
• Dr Nizar Hojaili is a General Adult Psychiatrist, with special interest in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He joined CMC Dubai in April 2021. His education journey took him to Canada (BSc, Concordia University) and the Netherland Antilles (MD, University of Sint Eustatius).
• Immediately after completing his training in Adult Psychiatry, Dr Hojaili focused on gaining expertise in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by working for nearly two years exclusively in a community Child and Adolescent Mental health (CAHMS) service in Coventry initially as a Speciality Doctor then as a Consultant Psychiatrist.
• Dr Hojaili expertise encompasses a wide range of Psychiatric disorders, from Neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., ADHD and Autistic Spectrum Disorder) to Anxiety disorder, Obsessive compulsive disorder, Trauma related difficulties, Eating Disorders, Mood disorder (depression and Bipolar Affective Disorder), Psychotic Disorders and Personality Disorders.
• He completed all his postgraduate training in the West Midlands Deanery, United Kingdom at the University of Warwick affiliated Teaching Hospitals in Coventry and Warwickshire during which he completed several rotations in various sub-specialities like Substance Misuse, Eating Disorder, Old Age Psychiatry Learning Disability Psychiatry, Child Forensic Psychiatry. It allowed him to developed comprehensive assessment and management skills in a large range of disorders.
