Notably, he holds the distinction of being the first doctor in Kerala to perform intrauterine fetal blood transfusions, illustrating his pioneering approach to medical procedures. Beyond his surgical excellence, Dr. Mukundan is an active contributor to the medical profession’s knowledge base. He has participated in conferences, workshops, and seminars, organizing the notable Applied Genetics Seminar at the All India Conference of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2006. The seminar featured Prof. John Burn of the Human Genome Project as the chief guest speaker.
