Dr. Mohd. Ilyas is a Specialist in Radiology at Medcare Hospital, Sharjah. He completed his MBBS and then MD in Radio-diagnosis from the Government Medical College in Jammu, India. He also holds a Master’s in Oncologic Imaging from the Universita Di Pisa, Italy. He has completed several courses in Radiology, including the Oxford Clinical Neuroimaging Course from the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences of the University of Oxford, the National Imaging Informatics Course (NIIC) from the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM), USA and the Imaging AI foundational Certification from the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). He is qualified as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, UAE, certified in Medical Education (Radiology) from the University of Dundee and completed a European Diploma in Radiology (EDiR) from the European Board of Radiology, a European Course on Spine Radiology from the European Society of Neuroradiology (ESNR) and the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR), and a European Course on AI in Neuroimaging from the European Society of Neuroradiology. Additionally, he has completed both ACLS and BLS Certification from the American Heart Association. He is a member of the Royal College of Radiologists (UK), the Society of Paediatric Neuroimaging, the European Society of Radiology (ESR), the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA) and the Radiological Society of North America.
Dr. Ilyas has over a decade of experience with extensive expertise in both diagnostic radiology and non-vascular interventional procedures. He commenced his career as a Junior Resident in Radiodiagnosis & Imaging at the Government Medical College in Jammu, India and then went on to become a Senior Resident in Radiodiagnosis and Imaging at the renowned Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar, India. Later, he spent some time with Atulaya Healthcare Private Limited in Jammu, India, as a Consultant Radiologist. Subsequently, he moved to the UAE, where he took the position of a Specialist Radiologist at Aster Hospital in Sharjah and later became the Head of the Department of Radiology.
