Dr. Mohamed Magdy Mohamed Abbas is a highly accomplished Cardiology Consultant at Medcare Hospital, Sharjah, with a distinguished educational and clinical background spanning Egypt and France. He earned his MBBCh top on his class, Master’s, and PhD degrees in Critical Care Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology from Cairo University. He further specialized in Cardiac Electrophysiology Mapping and Ablation through a Fellowship and PhD program at the University of Nancy CHU, France. In addition, he holds a Diploma in Cardiovascular Medicine (DIU) from Nancy CHU.
Dr. Magdy currently serves as the Head of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Department at Al Qassimi Hospital, Sharjah, a position he has held since 2013. He is also a Professor of Critical Care Cardiology and Electrophysiology at Cairo University and a Professor of Cardiology at the University of Sharjah, UAE.
He is an active member and faculty contributor to several leading professional societies, including the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA), World Congress of Arrhythmia, American Heart Rhythm Society (HRS), and the Egyptian Heart Rhythm Association. Dr. Magdy also serves as the Clinical Director of the Heart Block Management JCI Program and is the Chairman and Director of the GULF EP LIVE International Conference.
With extensive expertise in managing complex cardiac arrhythmias, Dr. Magdy has successfully treated numerous cases of atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and other rhythm disorders.
