Dr. Maha Shahin is a Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Medcare Hospital- Sharjah. She obtained her MBBCh, MSC and PhD (MD) from Cairo University in Egypt. She is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG), a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) and holds a Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH) from London in the UK. She has completed a Diploma in Medical Nutrition from Oxford and an Advanced Diploma in Aesthetics Gynaecology and has several international publications to her name. Dr. Shahin is a member of the British Society of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology, the Fetal Medicine Foundation, the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a member of the Egyptian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Shahin is a dedicated healthcare professional committed to providing the highest quality care to her patients, and her expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies makes her an asset to the medical community in the UAE. During the initial stages of her career in Cairo she served as a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Cairo University. She practised in the UK for several years as Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before moving to the Middle East. She practised as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Alhada Armed Forces Hospital in KSA and then at the Al Zahra Hospital in Sharjah.
