She has a distinguished background as a former Professor at Government Medical College in Kerala, India, where she excelled in both clinical and academic settings. Dr. Ismail is renowned for her expertise in managing high-risk obstetrics and gynaecology cases, with a particular focus on natural vaginal delivery and complex surgical interventions. Her extensive experience includes over 9,000 vaginal deliveries, 6,000 Caesarean sections, and over 5,000 gynaecological surgeries. She is a staunch advocate for women's rights in childbirth and is proficient in handling complicated vaginal deliveries, including forceps and vacuum-assisted deliveries, breech births, and caesarean sections. Dr. Ismail has made significant contributions to the field through numerous publications in esteemed national and international journals and has presented at various state and national conferences. Dr. Jisha completed her MS in obstetrics and gynaecology from Government Medical College, Thrissur, Kerala. She served as a Senior Resident and later worked as a Consultant Gynaecologist at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Choondal, and the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical Mission Hospital. She rejoined Government Medical College, Thrissur as an Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, progressing to Associate Professor and then Professor in the department.
