Dr. Jiji Tresa Cyriac is a Specialist Ophthalmologist at Medcare Medical Centre. She completed her MBBS from Kerala University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Ophthalmology from the SRMC & Research Centre, both in India. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCS), Glasgow, UK, and a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO). She also completed a postgraduate Diploma in Health Professions Education from the Gulf Medical University (GMU), UAE. She is a member of the Kerala Society of Ophthalmic Surgeons.
Dr. Cyriac has worked and taught in several reputed institutions in India and the UAE. She has a great passion for teaching and started her career by working at various hospitals in Kerala including the well-known T.D. Medical College in Alappuzha. She then taught at the Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Centre in Chennai, followed by stints at the Mahajubilee Hospital, the KPM Eye Hospital and Lasik Centre, and the Sacred Heart Hospital in Kerala. She relocated to the UAE, working as a Specialist Ophthalmologist at GMC Hospital & Research Centre. After that, she spent almost a decade at NMC Healthcare. Her articles have been published in journals and magazines and she regularly participates in community health programmes.
