Dr. Huda Abdulkader is a Specialist in the Department of Paediatrics at the Al Zahia branch of Medcare Medical Centre. She brings with her extensive medical and clinical experience of over two decades. She graduated from the University of Sebha, Libya with an MBChB degree and commenced her postgraduate training in the United Kingdom. She was awarded an MPhil degree from The University of Edinburgh followed by the Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH), UK. Besides, she is a member of the British Association of Childhood Disability(BACD), South West Interest in Paediatric Epilepsy (SWIPE) and the British Association of Paediatric Neurodisability (BAPN).
During the nascency of her career, Dr. Abdulkader worked as the Paediatric SHO at Sebha Medical Centre in Libya. She then moved to the UK, where she completed her MPhil and was a Research Fellow at the Simpson Centre of Reproductive Health in Edinburgh. She then completed her Paediatric Clinical Fellowship in General Paediatrics, Paediatric Oncology, Paediatric Nephrology, and Paediatric Neurology at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, UK. Subsequently, she worked as a Paediatric Speciality Registrar in several renowned hospitals including Community Paediatrics at St David Hospital, General Paediatrics and Neonatology at Royal United Hospital, General Paediatrics and PICU at Bristol Children’s Hospital, with a sub-speciality interest in Neurodisability at the University Hospital of Wales and with a subspeciality interest in Neurodisability at Grange University Hospital, all in the UK.
