She is also a certified trainer with the Egyptian Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Mourad is an active member of both the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS).

Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO).
She holds a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from Al-Azhar University in Egypt and completed her postgraduate studies at Harvard Medical School, USA.
