Dr. Brijesh Puthalonkunath Valsalan is a Specialist in Orthopaedics Surgery at Medcare Hospital, Sharjah. He completed his MBBS, his Diploma in Orthopaedics and a Master's in Orthopaedic Surgery from Calicut Medical College in Kerala, India. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS), the Indian Orthopaedic Association, the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association, the Emirates Orthopaedic Society, the Société Internationale de Chirurgie Orthopédique et de Traumatologie and the World Association against Infection in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
Dr. Valsalan began his career first as a Resident and then as a Senior Resident in Orthopaedics at the Government Medical College, Kozhikode, India. He also worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Vatakara Cooperative Hospital in Kozhikode. Subsequently, he relocated to the UAE and joined the Thumbay Group as a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon and Clinical Lecturer. He also served as a University Lecturer in Orthopaedics at the Gulf Medical University and worked as a Specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Aster Hospital in Sharjah.
