Dr. Bassant Ahmed Ezzat Abou Yamama is a dermatologist and cosmetologist. She studied medicine from Cairo University, Egypt, completed specilisations in dermascopy and practical dermatology from Cardiff University, UK and a specialisation in aesthetic medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, California, USA. Since she began her career she has been a specialist dermatologist at the Police Agouza Hospital, Cairo, Egypt, Celebrities Medical Center, Sharjah, UAE and Cosmesurge, Sharjah, UAE, apart from being in private practice from 2009 to 2013. She is an active member of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate, European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, International Dermoscopy Society and the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.
Dr. Yamama treats all types of dermatological diseases, including hair loss, skin cancer and acne, among others. Her areas of expertise are the diagnosis and treatment of hair problems using trichoscopy, screening of skin cancers by advanced dermoscopy, advanced use of botox and fillers, thread lifting, facial rejuvenation by lasers and mesotherapy, treatment of acne and acne scars, use of different peeling techniques and clinical and cosmetic laser procedures.
