Dr. Azhari Elawad is a Specialist in ENT and Head and Neck Surgery at Medcare Medical Centre. He completed his MBBS from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Craiova, Romania and a PhD in Otolaryngology from Hacettepe Hospital University in Ankara, Turkey. He is a member of the Turkish Society of Otolaryngology, the Emirates Otolaryngology Medical Association, the Sudanese Otolaryngology Society, the PAN Arab Rhinology Society and the Inter-American Association of Paediatric Otolaryngology.
Dr. ELawad has rich global experience of over three decades in ENT Surgeries and coblation, having attended training courses across Turkey, India, and Spain. He also received invaluable teaching experience working at the Khartoum Teaching Hospital in Sudan and the Hacettepe Teaching Hospital in Ankara as an Assistant Professor. Initially, he worked as an ENT doctor at Hacettepe Hospital in Ankara and then as an ENT specialist at the Ministry of Health, Al Qassimi Hospital, and Kuwaiti Hospital in UAE. For a few years, he worked in his private clinic while, at the same time working as a visiting doctor at Corniche Hospital, the Emirates International Hospital and Oriana Hospital, Sharjah in the the UAE. Before joining Medcare, he worked as an ENT Specialist at the Sharjah Corniche Medical Center and Amina Healthcare Group. After completing a course on coblation surgery in Barcelona, Spain, he has been working with coblation to treat snoring, tonsils and adenoids.
