Dr. Ayman Shouman is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Sheikh Zayed Road branch of Medcare Eye Centre. He completed his MBBCh from Cairo University and his MD from Cairo University, both in Cairo, Egypt. He holds a Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCS), Glasgow. He is a member of the Examiner Board of the Royal College of Surgeons England, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeries.
He has successfully performed retinal detachment procedure, Pars Plana Vitrectomy, proliferative diabetic retinopathy, macular hole, giant breaks, macular pucker, foreign body removal, intravitreal injections, Phacoemulsification, premium IOLs, combined cataract and glaucoma, Argon laser in diabetic retinopathy, Yag capsulotomy, Yag laser vitreolysis, glaucoma surgery, trabeculectomy, express valve implantation, selective Laser trabeculoplasty, cyclo cryotherapy, cyclo photocoagulation, ISTENT and PRESERFLOW.
