Dr. Anjana Sreedharan is a Specialist in the Department of Paediatric Surgery at Al Qusais - Medcare Royal Specialty Hospital and Sharjah Medcare Hospital. She did her MBBS from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education and her Masters in General Surgery from Kasturba Medical College, both from Mangalore, India. She has a MCh in Paediatric Surgery from the Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS), England, a Life Member of the Asia Pacific Hernia Society and an Associate member of the Indian Association of Paediatric Surgery.
Dr. Sreedharan commenced her career as a Junior Resident in the Department of General Surgery at the Government Wenlock District Hospital and KMC Hospitals in Mangalore, India. She went on to work as a Senior Resident in the same institute. Following this, she worked as a Senior resident in Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi which is the largest tertiary hospital in the capital city of India. As an assistant professor at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital (VMMC and SJH), she had the opportunity to teach and train the next generation of paediatric surgeons while providing quality care to children with various surgical conditions. Subsequently, she relocated to the UAE.
