He has extensive work experience at hospitals in Egypt, Oman and the UAE. He has worked at the Kafer Elsheikh Hospital and Military Hospital in Egypt. He has also been head and in-charge of School Health Clinics in Musandam, Oman. He has worked in the UAE at the Al Qassmi Hospital, Al Dhaid Hospital and Latifa Hospital. He is member and coordinator of the BFHI Programme of UNICEF. He is also a member of several medical associations, including the Emirates Paediatrics Society - part of the Emirates Medical Association (EMA), the Egyptian Paediatrics Society.
