Dr. Khalid Ali Khan is a Specialist in Rheumatology at Medcare Hospital Sharjah. He completed his MBBS from the King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan. He then obtained a Specialist Certification in Rheumatology from the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom and the British Society for Rheumatology. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCPI) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (MRCPS), Glasgow.
After completing his training in Internal Medicine as a Resident Medical Officer at Mayo Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan, Dr. Khan worked in Saudi Arabia as a Medical Specialist at the Najran Armed Forces Hospital in the Ministry of Defence during the early days of his career. Subsequently, he moved to Ireland where he first worked as a Registrar in General Medicine at St. John’s Hospital, Limerick, then as a Registrar in Rheumatology/General Internal Medicine at Mater Hospital, Dublin and briefly as a Registrar in Elderly Care/General Internal Medicine at Ennis General Hospital. He also gained invaluable experience as a Registrar in Rheumatology/General Internal Medicine at St. James’s Hospital, Dublin, Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, Waterford University Hospital and Cork University Hospital, all in Ireland. He was a Consultant Rheumatologist and General physician at Waterford University Hospital before relocating to the UAE. He has been a Specialist Rheumatologist with NMC Royal Hospital, Sharjah for more than a decade.
